In support of all of our loyal gym members, the Centre has decided to close membership to the Terry Mackenroth Community Gymnasium and to establish a waitlist for new memberships.

With the recent success of our “Welcome to Summer” membership promotion, we have again achieved our limit on memberships and therefore new members will only be processed from the waitlist when an existing member decides not to renew.

While the revenue is important, we value the loyalty of our existing members and we don’t want a situation where members are unable to attend over-crowded classes or are unable to access equipment in our cardio and strength areas during peak times.

Retention of existing members is the industry’s greatest challenge in what is a very competitive market and this also remains our primary objective.

This is the second time we have closed membership to the Terry Mackenroth Community Gymnasium due to reaching our limit of membership sales, the other being just prior to COVID in 2019.

We are hopeful of being able to open membership to those on the waitlist sooner rather than later with some existing members who will transition to the new high performance / rehab gym when it opens late next month.
