Just a quick update on the new development at the Centre which on completion will be known as the Clem Jones Centre Wellness Precinct.

Subject to any further delays, we anticipate the builder will hand over the new building to the Centre in late October / early November.

Thereafter, the Centre can commence fit-out of some of the facilities, as can the operator of the new café. We also expect our new medical partners that have committed to tenancies in this facility to also commence fit-out of their premises in November.

Assuming all goes to plan our early expectations are that the new facilities will open progressively as follows ;

1. We will open the new toilet and shower amenities during the week beginning 13 November.

2. We will also open the new grandstand overlooking the 50m pool during the week beginning 13 November.

3. Fit-out of the new rehab / high performance gymnasium will take place in early November with the doors opening for use the week beginning 27 November.

4. Fit-out of the café will hopefully also commence in November and it is anticipated that it will be open and operational prior to Christmas.

5. While some of our new allied health partners will also commence fit-out of their premises in November, it is likely that we will defer formally launching these practices until business returns to normal in mid to late January 2024.

Rehab / High Performance Gymnasium

As mentioned, it is anticipated this new facility will open during the week beginning 27 November.

Membership to this facility will be exclusively limited to 100 members in addition to our medical partners who will have access for rehabilitation purposes with their clients. Membership will be on a “first come / first served” basis and once 100 members have been acquired, new memberships will only be available on the resignation of existing members.

Limiting membership will result in only a very small number of users at any one time and therefore easy access to all equipment.

Pre-sale of memberships will commence on Tuesday 3 October 2023 but obviously the term will not officially commence until the facility is open.

This new development has been a long time in the making and we thank all of our members and patrons for their patience over the past couple of years where our facilities and services have certainly been constrained.
